From class on February 16th

There's a lot of variation in the work that the class is doing. Individuals have sort of gone in their own direction for the present- til we can get outside again.

Susan and Christina have these two started with very strong drawings in the underpainting.

Christina Grina

Susan Jenkinson

Rita and Susan have these nearly finished. Rita is introducing the figure and animals into the landscape.

And Susan is experimenting with a garish sunset that she photographed in Las Vegas. It is a
really dramatic composition and requires that she deal with the dark neutrals in the sky and the vibrant warm lights at the horizon.

Dolly gave herself a challenge to paint from an old photograph of her grandmother. It's coming along but doubly difficult because the photo is not in color.

And finishing out this entry with a portrait of Parker by Jan Pierce!
Happy Trails Jan, we'll miss you when you are in Texas.
