We worked  on head studies again starting with under paintings in venetian red.

Joyce started this 6" x 6"

And Dolly got a great start on this. Looks great.

And Kelsey and Christina Grina went on to add skin tones using saturated color in the lights and neutral color in the shadows.

Laura worked on this portrait of her son Alex with a photo taken when he was in kindergarten. She got a good likeness from a photo that didn't have great light. 

Susan Frommer started on another desert landscape with a smoke tree in the foreground. She developed some very subtle grays and whites against some intense cool mountains. More next entry!
