Update!!

I let a week go by with no updates and now I have to write for two weeks! Sorry! 

We have been at Amalia's working in her shady courtyard. There is great subject matter but before I say anything else there is a change in schedule this week. On our regular Thursday (7/14) there is a memorial service for Mr Johnson. We have postponed our class to Friday morning (7/15) at 9, at Amalia's again.

Amalia started a larger geranium painting that is really coming along. It just needed some darkest darks and a touch of highlight. 

 Cathy started this fountain painting. In keeping with our outdoor experience, she and Jan were visited by a weasel as they worked. Never a dull moment.

Joyce has this painting underway. It has great potential as she builds up the paint.

I'll be interested to hear about the art exhibit at the visitor's center. I went by after class last week and was impressed. Next year let's make a real effort to be represented in that show!
