Some really terrific work

We had a great class at Laura's The barn won't be available for a while and there was one day left so we took advantage..

Check out Cathy Baca's portrait of 'Said'. All the lessons we have can be applied to anything you want to paint whether it's landscape, still life or portraiture. She did an excellent job with plane structure, saturated and neutral color, proportion and made a great painting. Congratulations!

and here's Cathy newest.

And in local news, Rita Brey took a whole bunch of ribbons at last week's monthly Gem of the Valley Art Association meeting. 1st, 2nd and Peoples Choice. Amaxing Rita!!!!!

Below is a womderful bunch of strawberries that Joyce did in one class. It's 3" x 3" and has it's own little easel.

Dolly very successfully finished her rose landscape.

Christina came along with her house in France painting. This is her real place that we all should visit and paint the French countryside together.

We are thinking os participating in the Santa Rosa Plateau Visitors Center Art Show this spring. I'm urging students to get back to landscape so here is Dolly's latest effort. Great start.

and a great start for Rita who will include some livestock in the next session!
