We were at Susan's on Thursday. The weather was gorgeous, almost too warm in the sun.
This is what Cathy is working on. Will have to finish from photos.
We added another layer of glaze. Here's Jan's. When it's dry she will add a layer of viridian green.
And this is Jan's piece as far as it got my the end of class
Rita and Dolly went in their own interesting directions as usual! Rita added a figure to her beach scape and Dolly is working on an Italian landscape of the Venice Canals.
Susan Jenkinson our newest member got started on her first class painting and I think it is really successful. I always advise new landscape painters to expect to do a few bad paintings before they put it all together but Susan's is very good.
I'm having some camera trouble and somehow missed a painting by Susan Frommer
and another by Joyce Verduzco. They just weren't on the camera although I can distinctly remember taking the photos. Maybe a battery issue. I will put them up next time.
Next week will be sort of exciting. It's our first exhibition opportunity. We are bringing paintings to the Wednesday Ladies' Luncheon to show and share our experiences as plein air painters. We meet at 10:30 to get set up. If you need directions give me a call.
